Long-time Jeopardy host Alex Trebek lost his battle with cancer in November of 2020, and since then, a slew of guests has taken the podium to fill in for Trebek until a permanent replacement can be found.
Some of the more popular guest hosts include Anderson Cooper, Bill Whitaker, Mayim Bialik, Savannah Guthrie, Ken Jennings, Katie Couric, Dr. Oz, and Aaron Rodgers.
Despite all the recent guest hosts, a straightforward replacement has yet to be announced, and 18+ online sportsbooks are now offering odds on who the new hire might be.

As you can see, the odds offer no clear favorite despite LaVar Burton sitting on top of the odds list. Burton has actively been pushing for the job on social media but to no avail.
NPR recently did a story on when the next host might be announced where they asked Claire McNear if a new hire is on the horizon. Claire McNear is a staff writer for the Ringer, and she wrote a book entitled “Answers in the Form of Questions: A Definitive History and Insider’s Guide to Jeopardy!”
When asked if the public will soon know Alex Trebek’s successor, she made some excellent points stating that the show is about to quit taping until July when taping resumes. She also noted that the show has announced that next season there will be a permanent host.
18+ entertainment betting has risen in popularity over the last few years, and online sportsbooks have started to ramp up their odds for popular TV shows, movies, and music. Jeopardy has been popular since its initial reboot in 1984, nearly 20 years after the show debuted on television.
