Week 3 of the 2022-23 NFL Season features several betting lines that stand out from the rest of the pack. Here are three lines for NFL betting in Week 3 that deserve further consideration.
Buffalo Bills (-6.0) @ Miami Dolphins (+6.0)
- Moneyline Odds: Bills -240, Dolphins +200
- Over/Under: 52.5
This Buffalo Bills vs. Miami Dolphins game has a 1 PM kickoff this Sunday and will reward the winner with the top spot in the AFC East Division. Both teams are 2-0 and tied for the division lead, and each of them is entering the game with red hot momentum.
The Bills have blown out their first two opponents in 2022-23. First, it was the Los Angeles Rams by a score of 31-10, and then 44-7 trouncing of the Minnesota Vikings last Monday Night.
The Dolphins made easy work of the New England Patriots in Week 1 and then survived a 42-38 barn-burner against the Baltimore Ravens last Sunday.
Despite the herculean effort put forth by the Dolphins last weekend, we expect the Bills to take care of business this weekend at Hard Rock Stadium and cover the 6-point spread against Miami.
Kansas City Chiefs (-5.5) @ Indianapolis Colts (+5.5)
- Moneyline Odds: Chiefs -250, Colts +210
- Over/Under: 50.0
Also at 1 PM this Sunday, the 2-0 Kansas City Chiefs are -5.5 favorites against the Colts in Indianapolis, who find themselves in an 0-1-1 hole to begin the season.
The Colts were a sleeper Super Bowl pick this year with the signing of Matt Ryan to take over at quarterback, but the experiment has failed thus far with a tie to the Houston Texans and a 24-o shutout loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in consecutive weeks.
Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs were expected to experience struggles on offense early on as the team adjusted to life without star wide receiver Tyreek Hill. Mahomes and the Chiefs’ offense are ahead of schedule, however, with a big win over the Arizona Cardinals and a 3-point victory over the explosive LA Chargers.
We expect the Kansas City Chiefs to cover the -5.5 NFL point spread against the Colts this Sunday.
San Francisco 49ers (-1.5) @ Denver Broncos (+1.5)
- Moneyline Odds: 49ers -125, Broncos +105
- Over/Under: 45.0
Wrapping up the day’s schedule of games is a Sunday Night Football matchup between the Denver Broncos and the visiting San Francisco 49ers at 8:15 PM.
Starting 49ers QB Trey Lance was lost for the season last Sunday to a broken ankle that will require surgery. Normally, that’d spell immediate doom for an NFL franchise, but San Francisco wisely re-signed former starter Jimmy Garoppolo in the preseason.
Jimmy G was able to step in and win the game against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2, and arguably makes the 49ers a better team going forth.
The Denver Broncos can consider themselves lucky to be 1-1 at this point in the season after losing to Seattle in Week 1 and playing close with the Houston Texans in Week 2.
We’re pouncing on the 49ers at -1.5 and expect them to easily cover on Sunday Night at Denver.
After each kickoff occurs, live betting lines for NFL games remain on the boards and continue to take action on the point spread, moneyline odds for winners, and the over/under. Placing an in-game bet is perfect for gamblers that are struggling with a pregame decision.
