Once again all the home teams are favored to win in this weekend’s Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs after the Wild Card games only produced one underdog winner – the San Francisco 49ers.
The point spreads are much closer to even this weekend, with three of the games near a field goal of separation and the Green Bay Packers holding the largest edge of the weekend at 6 over the 49ers.
None of these projections would represent a major upset if the underdog prevailed according to the game lines for betting on the NFL Playoffs.
Cincinnati Bengals @ Tennessee Titans (-3.0)
- Moneyline Odds: Bengals +155, TItans -180, Over/Under: 47.5
All signs point to the return of injured Titans’ running back Derrick Henry for Saturday’s game against the Bengals. Tennessee has kept their head above water while Henry has been out and now they are hopeful that his rushing prowess can propel them to a victory in Super Bowl LVI.
Standing in the way of the Titans are a hungry Bengals team that is loaded with talent and is attempting to establish their bright future right now. Franchise QB Joe Burrow has established an all-pro level connection with rookie wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase that has the potential to be one of the best tandems, ever.
As the point spread suggests, this is anyone’s game to win.
San Francisco 49ers @ Green Bay Packers (-5.5)
- Moneyline Odds: 49ers +200, Packers -240, Over/Under: 47.0
It is hard to imagine a scenario where the 49ers lose by 6 to the Packers. If San Francisco is playing that close, something is either clicking for them on offense or defense and that is not good news for Green Bay.
Alternatively, if the Packers are struggling to pull away from the 49ers, that’s another sign that things are going well for San Francisco. We envision a scenario where either the Packers cover the spread easily, or the 49ers win.
It seems that more action is coming in on San Fran since the line was debuted, as it has dropped a half-point in favor of the 49ers in the last 24 hours.
Los Angeles Rams @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-3.0)
- Moneyline Odds: Rams +125, Tampa Bay -145, Over/Under: 48.0
Ben Roethlisberger may have played the last game of his career last weekend against the Chiefs, but no one is suggesting that 44-year old Tom Brady of the Buccaneers is anywhere near done.
The Bucs are predicted to win at home, but the Rams are intent on living up to the preseason odds at Super Bowl betting sites that placed them at the front of the pack.
This NFL Playoff betting line has held steady since it was posted, and we could actually envision a scenario where Tampa wins but doesn’t cover the 3 point spread. Consider your bets carefully on this one!
Buffalo Bills @ Kansas City Chiefs (-1.5)
- Moneyline Odds: Bills +105, Chiefs -125, Over/Under: 54.0
Of all four Divisional Round betting lines, the point spread for the Bills vs. Chiefs has closed to within 1.5 points, a full point closer to even than this time yesterday.
This game is basically a pick’em, so it may be wise to avoid the juice attached to the NFL point spreads and just lay some action on the moneyline odds for the team you think will win outright.
