The NFL season is just around the corner and to no one’s surprise, oddsmakers have the New England Patriots favored to win the Super Bowl again.
After last years Super Bowl 53 performance the Patriots are the clear favorite to win it all again, and as a bonus, they knocked the Rams back down a few spots.
This year the Patriots will be without their star tight end Rob Gronkowski as he retired during the offseason. The news of his retirement broke on twitter about two months after their Super Bowl 53 victory.
I will be retiring from the game of football today. I am so grateful for the opportunity that Mr. Kraft and Coach Belichick gave to me when drafting my silliness in 2010. My life experiences, relationships and championships over the last 9 years have been amazing! pic.twitter.com/DAMM9wMVxb

While betting on the Patriots has been a good bet for the past decade other teams are starting to mature and should be valiant contenders for this years Vince Lombardi Trophy.
Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs saw their 2018-19 season come to an end in the AFC Championship when they lost to the New England Patriots 31-37 at Arrowhead Stadium. The game eventually ended in overtime when the Patriots won the toss and Brady drove the team into the endzone. Expect the Chiefs to try and issue some sweet payback in the 2020 postseason.
New Orleans Saints
No one was more upset about the officiating in the playoffs than the Saints. The Saints lost to the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Championship game in what was the most flagrant missed pass interference call the league has seen in recent years.
The missed call sparked outrage and lawsuits from bettors who lost money betting on the Saints. Even though Louisiana is one of the states without legal sports betting, residents have access to licensed online sportsbooks.
Los Angeles Rams
The Los Angeles Rams are stacked with young talent and coach that knows how to win. Saints fans are saying that they got in because of a missed penalty call but their record last season (13-3) says they have the talent to beat anyone.
The young team looked stagnant in the Super Bowl and were not able to put a touchdown drive together for the whole game. Expect the Rams to build on their losses last season and to make another run at Super Bowl glory.
What Online Sportsbooks Are Saying
Online sportsbooks are giving the New England Patriots the best odds for winning Super Bowl 54, but these odds will change as the season gets underway. Oddsmakers base these predictions on last season and offseason transactions.
Other notable teams that have seen their odds skyrocket are the Cleveland Browns, Indianapolis Colts, and the Green Bay Packers.
The NFL season begins on September 5th, 2019 when the Green Bay Packers will travel to Chicago to face the Chicago Bears for the first Thursday night game of the season.
